After Christmas Miso Sprouts
Sprouts are in season and grown in the UK so we should be including them in as many dishes as possible. These take less than 10 minutes to make and are perfect for when you have some lying around after the Christmas festivities. You can easily double the quantities depending on how many you are!

Makes enough for 2 as a side
Ingredients:
200g sprouts, halved and only the bigger stems trimmed a little
4 tbsp sunflower oil
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil (I have a chilli version which I used)
1/2 tbsp brown miso
2 tbsp cold water
1 tsp sesame seeds
Salt and pepper
Bring a large saucepan of water to boil and salt it. Add the halved sprouts and boil for 1.5mins and then drain. In a small bowl, mix together the miso, cold water and sesame oil.
Set a large frying pan to medium to high heat and add the sunflower oil followed by the sprouts cut side down. Fry for 1.5mins until they are just starting to colour. Then turn down the heat a little and pour over the miso mix.
Give everything a mix and fry for another 1.5 mins. Then serve straight away with the sesame seeds on top and a seasoning of salt and pepper.
